Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
The Role
The PROVENIQ Foundation has built something remarkable — five live technology platforms, a legislative agenda, a statewide community strategy, and a fundraising campaign with a $1,000,000 goal. What it needs now is the person who can help lead it.
The Vice President and Chief Operating Officer is the second-in-command of The PROVENIQ Foundation. You will serve alongside the Founder & CEO as the external face of the organization, own the relationship pipeline that keeps the mission funded, build and lead the operations team as it grows, and translate a founder's vision into a functioning, scaling organization.
This is not a management role for someone who manages processes. It is a leadership role for someone who builds organizations — who walks into a room and makes things happen, can close a sponsor, brief a county commissioner, motivate a team, and still have time to plan next quarter.
What You Will Own
Immediate Scope (Until Director Hires Are Made)
You will serve as VP and COO while also covering both Director-level functions below you. This is a sprint, not a marathon — Director hires are a priority, and your ability to recruit them is part of the job.
- Director of Outreach & Government Relations — government and legislative relationship management, community outreach, platform ambassador recruitment, and stakeholder communications
- Director of Development & Finance — grant development oversight, donor and major gifts management, financial operations coordination, and fundraising campaign support
Ongoing VP & COO Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary external face of The PROVENIQ Foundation alongside the CEO
- Build and manage the organization's full sponsor and donor pipeline — including the Mountain State 100K Challenge & Giveaway ($1M sponsorship goal, WVU vs. UVA, September 19, 2026)
- Own relationships with county commissioners, state agencies, animal welfare organizations, and community partners
- Drive the CCAWV (County Commission Association of WV) partnership strategy
- Lead and grow the operations team as the organization scales
- Translate the CEO's vision into executable operational plans with clear ownership, timelines, and accountability
- Represent The PROVENIQ Foundation at legislative hearings, community events, and statewide forums
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships
- Coordinate with the VP & CTO to ensure platform launch timelines align with grant commitments and public-facing campaigns
The Mountain State 100K Challenge & Giveaway
The first 100,000 households to register their pet on petmayday.org are entered into a drawing. One winner is selected. If the winner guesses the exact final score of WVU vs. UVA, they win $100,000 in cash and $100,000 goes to WV animal welfare nonprofits. The selected winner is guaranteed $1,000 regardless. This VP owns this campaign.

- A self-starter who can manage across multiple domains simultaneously without dropping threads

- Genuine alignment with The PROVENIQ Foundation's mission as a cause worth building
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in nonprofit operations, development, or executive leadership
- Existing relationships with West Virginia government, business, or community networks

Why This Role Is a Career-Defining Opportunity
You are joining at the beginning. The platforms are built. The legislation is drafted. The media strategy is in place. What we need now is the person who turns strategy into momentum.
You will have a title and a seat at the table that most people spend 20 years trying to earn. You will represent a mission that is easy to be proud of. And you will grow a team under you — building your own legacy inside an organization that is going to matter.
PROVENIQ does not hire for roles. We hire for trajectory.
