Short answers to the questions board members ask most often.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

Where should I start every time I sign in?

Start on the Dashboard. It is the quickest way to see your next meeting, your open tasks, and anything that needs your attention right now.

I am not comfortable with computers. Can I still use this?

Yes. The portal is meant to be used one step at a time. Most board members mainly need Dashboard, Meetings, Voting, and Compliance. If you can open email and click a link, you can use this portal.

How do I read the packet before a meeting?

Go to Meetings, open the meeting you need, and look for the packet. You can read it in the portal or download it if that is easier.

How do I cast a vote?

Open Voting, choose the open item, read the question, and then select For, Against, or Abstain. If you want more background first, open the related meeting or resolution.

When is my yearly disclosure or policy sign-off due?

When action is needed, the Dashboard will show it. You can also go straight to Compliance to see whether a disclosure or policy acknowledgment is waiting for you.

Can I use the portal on a phone or tablet?

Yes. A larger screen is usually easier for long packets, but you can still read, review, and navigate from a phone or tablet when needed.

What if I click the wrong thing?

Most pages are there for reading and reviewing. If you open the wrong page, simply go back to the Dashboard or choose the section you meant to open. If you are filling out a form, review it before you submit it.

What if I cannot find a document or minutes from a past meeting?

Start in Governance for official records and Meetings for meeting-specific materials. If you still cannot find it, contact your Staff Admin.

How do I keep track of people I am talking to about donations or grants?

Open Fundraising. Add the relationship, write the next step, and log a short note after each call, email, or meeting. The whole board can see it, so everyone stays coordinated.

Do I have to use the AI tools?

No. They are optional. They can save time, but you can use the portal just fine without them.

What if my sign-in code does not arrive or I cannot get in?

Contact your Staff Admin or technical support for help with access. Do not keep guessing if you are locked out. They can help you get back in safely.

Who changes my role, committee, or access?

Those changes are handled by your administrators outside the portal. If your role or access looks wrong, let your Staff Admin know.
